Whimsical Wispkin
Wispkin are tiny, ethereal spirits. Normally shy and elusive, they live in the unseen realm, always avoiding the gaze of human eyes. However, there's one thing that irresistibly draws them near: their soul’s fascination. This obsession with an oddly specific mundane object or phenomenon is what drives them to show themselves. In a moment of wonder, they forget their caution, drop their glamour and dance in the air, entranced by their curiosity. Every kind of Wispkin has its own fascination specific to it.
For one kind, the Bubble-kin, it is the bright, iridescent hues and sweet smells of bubbles that captivate their curious senses, and enthrall them. Whether it be soapy bubbles or bubblegum, a sufficiently aesthetically pleasing one will make them fill the air with their giggles.
For another, more sinister kind, it is the thrill of fighting and blood that feeds their curiosity. These Hemato-kin are drawn to battle and warfare, and most people dread seeing them as it is seen as an omen of death to spot these tiny - otherwise positively adorable - little creatures.
Lastly, if you are lucky enough, you might spot the ever-so-rare Pump-kin. This orange-and-green cutie only comes out during the Halloween festivities, though there is the odd chance you’ll spot one out of season in a household that is fond of cooking with this cutie’s favorite ingredient (or one that neglects to take down their Halloween decorations in a timely fashion).
No one really is certain about how many different kinds of these Wispkin exist, but one thing is for certain: the rarer they are, the more intricate their tails become.

With this pattern I really wanted to spark the creativity of my testers and of the people making it! People came up with their own versions of the Wispkin, each with their own theme and fascinations and thus their own unique name and I LOVED it! What will you name yours?
