Who are you?
Hi there! I am Bounty and most of my online friends just call me Bount (that one dropped syllable really makes a difference it seems).
I'm a 30-something who’s found a passion for crochet and knitting through my friends. What began as creative exploration during a challenging period has blossomed into a beloved hobby that brings me joy, comfort and endless frustration (I’m looking at those yarn-fuzzies, torn magic rings and lost yarn chickens specifically). Here, I’ll share my crochet patterns for mostly amigurumi and I hope this can serve as a hub for all things crochet.
You do anything else besides looking for the hook you lost in the couch?
In addition to my love for crochet, I enjoy immersing myself in TV series, games, anime and windowshopping. I used to be a huge reader, but since the digital age has given us computers, Zoom-calls and an attention span of about half a TikTok video, I needed to find another way to enjoy stories. Audiobooks to the rescue! I finally find myself listening to books again, with the added benefit of (usually) having about 2-3 finished plushies by the end of a book! That’s what I call a WIN-WIN 😁
Why crochet?
I think there's something uniquely cosy about working with yarn, whether it's the act of creating something beautiful or simply having handmade crafts around the house. I like seeking warmth and comfort in all aspects of life. Crochet, along with good company, yummy food, a cheesy movie, a warm cup of tea, a few snacks, ... it all helps me cultivate a homely feeling I cherish a lot.
